Course Content
COSHH Requirements – Within this section, you will look at what COSHH is and what is covered by the COSHH regulations.
Hazards and Risks – In this section, you will look at how to complete a COSHH assessment, what Safety Data Sheets are and how they help safe use of hazardous substances, as well as the hazard symbols used on packaging.
Control Measures – In this section, you will look at the ways managing hazardous substances in the workplace and the control measures that will need to be put into place to prevent injury or loss of life.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – In this section, you will look at what PPE is, the types of PPE you may need to use and when you may need to use PPE.
Learning Outcomes
We are dedicated to creating results not just content, by the end of the course you will be able to;
- Describe COSHH and recognise what is covered by the COSHH regulations
- Identify hazards and risks in line with COSHH and identify best practice when completing COSHH assessments and safety data sheets
- Explain control measures and identify ways of managing hazardous substances in the workplace
- List the PPE you may use and identify when you may need to use each type
- Identify the different hazard symbols

At the end of your course there is a multiple choice assessment to confirm your learning where you need to achieve 80% or more. If you don’t pass don’t worry! You can take the assessment as many times as you need.
